What do I offer?
There are two important things when it comes to what I offer. Everything is online and I only work with programs. What does that means? Well, all the conversations are online to start with. I use a specific program for it, which is called zoom. It’s similar to skype, which means you can see each other and talk.
Then when it comes to ‘a program’, it means I don’t work session per session. You sign up for a program and we work together for e certain amount of time. Mostly that’s 12 weeks. You get workbooks to read and fill in and work with by yourself. They can be a guideline for our calls. Calls that will be weekly or every two weeks. Programs require action, which means you’ll have to step up. But obviously I’ll coach and help you along the way. Next to the calls, you can always contact me with any question you have. So it’s an intense way of working together and you’ll see it’s much easier to see results that way.
I decided to work this way because I heard a lot of people saying they had good conversations with their therapist or psychologist, but once home they didn’t really know how to implement these things in daily life. How could they actually change their thoughts or behaviour? And that is where I step in. A program makes things straightforward and we’ll step into the action mode from the begining. Step by step we’ll get closer to where you would like to end up.
There’s a membership site where you’ll find all the workbooks and lots of bonuses. You can book in the calls yourself via an online agenda system on moments that suit you.
Let me show you which programs I offer. Do you have a specific problem that you can’t find an answer on in one of the programs, give me a shout and we’ll look into that together.

Banish Your Burnout - for caregivers -
Of course there are similarities between the Banish your Burnout- program and this one. The biggest difference here is, there are very specific reasons why burnout is very common with healthcare workers. The face certain problems and so it’s important to adress those and that is what we’ll do in this 12 week program.
What formal Clients Say
“Sofie coached me about a year ago. She’s a very warm and open therapist. When I needed direction, she could give it to me and at the same time she encouraged me to fill it in myself. She offered a context and understanding concerning my acts, thoughts and feelings. She is honest and authentic and not afraid to show vulnerabilty herself, which made it so much easier for me to be genuine. I learned not to constantly judge myself and not be scared to question things that used to take for granted. There was no judgement what so ever. I was simply mirrored which brought me much closer to who I really am. “
Annelies F.“I can only say, you simply have to follow this program. It turned my life upside down but in the best way possible. I litterally changed everything and I feel an entirely different person. I’m forever grateful for this opportunity and Sofie is simply an amazing coach”
Sarah D.W.“Sofie is a lovely coach, with a big backpack. Not only when it comes to knowledge or background, but she also expierenced a lot herself. You can tell from the way she coaches you. Very genuine and pure. It felt always safe working with her and I gained a lot of clarity. I truly appreciated her telling me things that were sometimes difficult to hear, since in the end they absolutely brought me were I wanted to be.’
Katrien TFrequently Asked Questions
Who are you?
I’m Sofie. Psychologist (+ sportpsychologist), contextual therapist and mindset coach. I prefer to work as coach since I strongly believe that is what I do. I’m aware it’s a bit of a tricky titel, but since I’m always up for a challenge… 😉 Want to know more, have a look here!
What do you offer?
I’ve studied motivation for years. I wrote two master papers about it during my studies psychology and sportpsychology (University of Leuven and Jyväskylä), worked in the field of motivation my entire working career and I catch myself on trying to motivate all my friends and family to become a better version of themselves. I bet they don’t always like me for that… 😉
Anyway, a long introduction to explain to you believe the best way of motivating people is by offering them a longterm package. For the simple reason, we as human beings, are pretty focused on short term goals and things. And proper change needs long term focus. This is why I only offer packages or programs. No single consults, unless you’ve already done one of my programs.
If you’re intrigued and you would like to know more, don’t hesitate and contact me for a free call.
Does online coaching works?
Well, out of my own experience (as a coach and a client), I can promise you it does. Studies indicate it does, but since it’s quite recent we need more research. Same as with face to face coaching there’s one thing which is crucial and that’s feeling connected. Feeling a click between coach and client.
The best way to find out for yourself is simply by giving it a try!
At least there are a few advantages. You don’t need to go anywhere and you can even have sessions with me in your pajamas or your sweatpants. Sounds not too bad, right?
Sessions are through zoom, which is similar to skype, so you can see each other and talk live.
Which methods do you use and what is your therapeutic background?
You’re serious about this, I like that! Well, I started of as a psychologist and studied behavioral therapy. Later I felt I missed something there, so I became a contextual therapist. I believe everything has its power or something you can work with, so I decided to use an entire backpack filled with whatever I learned on the way that worked. Also ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) and solution focused therapy are part of my luggage.
I always take a possitive approach and I believe the key in change is our mindset. So that is where I work from mainly. Change your mindset, change your world!
What is contextual therapy?
The founder of contextual therapy is a Hongarian-American psychiatrist called Ivan Boszormenyi-Nagy. He introduced concepts like relational ethics and loyality when it comes to relationships and generations.
It’s a form of family therapy and it takes different aspects of someones life or context into account. They work with four dimensions. The first one is the one of the facts, next psychology, interactions and relational ethics.
Facts are things like whether you are poor or rich, an only child, healthy or not, etc. Things you can not change. Psychology has everything to do with feelings and how you respond onto something. Interactions is everything what happens between you and your surroundings (family and friends etc.). Relational ethics is harder to explain because here we get to the real contextual concepts. If you like to know more, you can read ‘Between give and take’ (written by Nagy), but I warn you, it’s not an easy book to read.
What is 'a program'?
A program is a complete package to get started and work around a specific topic. It can be you are battling a burnout or maybe you just need some change in your life. Every program has a certain duration, for instance 12 weeks. Each week you’ll get acces to a new lesson or module. This way you can get started on your own with a workbook.
But of course things work better when someone is actually there to coach you, so that is why you’ll also have 1:1 coaching sessions with me. This way we can talk about your struggles throughout the program and work with your specific situation.
How do I know if one of these programs is for me?
Can I be sure I'll get results?
What does 'being committed' mean? What do I have to do?
There are different programs, but for all of them you’ll need at least three hours a week, probably more. There will be a weekly lesson for you to go through and a 45-minute call with me.
Remember that changing something takes not only courage, but also time and perseverance.
Is there a payment plan and how do I pay?
There sure is. Either you pay in full or you can choose for monthly payments.
There are different options when it comes to payment. Either through Paypal or by money transfer with your creditcard.
Just book a free call with me and we can discuss this as well.
